Double or Nothing
What's Double or Nothing?
It's an optional bet you place on one match before it kicks off. When the match is scored:
- Get the exact score → your points for that match are doubled (×2).
- Get the winner but not the exact score → nothing changes (you keep the normal points).
- Get the winner wrong → you lose that match's base points. (It never drops below zero.)
It's risk and reward: use it when you're very sure of a scoreline.
Available per pool. Whoever creates the pool decides whether the bonus is available and how often it can be used: once per matchday, per phase, or per tournament (the organizer chooses). If it's active, each member can activate it on a match before it locks (when the match starts). If your pool doesn't have it, it doesn't apply.
How often can you use it?
It depends on what the pool organizer chooses:
- Per matchday: once each matchday.
- Per phase: once in each phase of the tournament (groups, round of 16, quarters…).
- Per tournament: once in the whole tournament.
On the match card you'll see how many uses you have left before activating it.
An example. You activate Double or Nothing on a match and predict 2-1.
- If it ends 2-1 (exact score), you earn the match's 10 points… and with Double or Nothing they're doubled to 20.
- If it ends 3-1 (you got the winner, not the exact score), your points stay the same.
- If it ends 0-1 (the other team wins), you lose that match's base points.
And in the knockouts? The +2 for advancing is separate
In knockout matches there are two different things: the match's base points (up to 10) and the +2 for the classifier (you correctly pick which team advances). Double or Nothing only touches the base points: it never doubles or subtracts the +2 for advancing. You always keep that +2, no matter how your bet turns out.
Example 1 — it goes well. You activate Double or Nothing and predict 2-1, and that result sends your team through. It ends 2-1: you nailed the score, so your 10 base points are doubled to 20. You also got who advances right: +2 on top (not doubled). Total: 22 points.
Example 2 — wrong winner but right on who advances. You activate Double or Nothing and predict 1-1 (with your pick of who advances). The match ends 3-1: you got the winner wrong, so Double or Nothing wipes out that match's base points (they drop to 0, never less). But you got who advances right, and that +2 is separate: you keep it. Total: 2 points.
That's why you can lose Double or Nothing and still see 2 points on that match: they're the classifier points, which the bet doesn't touch.
