Road to the Final
What is the Road to the Final?
It's a prediction of the tournament's entire structure: you choose which teams advance in each phase, from the first round to the champion. You don't predict scores or exact matchups — you choose the set of teams that reaches each phase.
Three traits define it:
- In advance: you load the whole path at once.
- Chained: the teams you advance in one phase are your candidates for the next.
- Strict: it's a blind commitment, with no corrections.
A single deadline. You load the whole path —from the first phase to the final— before your pool's deadline. When it arrives, it freezes: nothing can be edited, not even future phases. Anyone who joins after that date no longer predicts the path (they play the matches only).
How you predict, step by step
Step 1 · Choose who advances from the first phase.
You mark the set of teams you think get through the first phase. The exact matchups don't matter: you choose who stays alive.
Step 2 · Your picks chain forward.
The teams you advanced become your candidates for the next round. If you said these four reach the semifinals, your candidates for the final are those four. Your path is built on your own predictions.
Step 3 · Go all the way to the champion.
You repeat round by round, narrowing the group, until you choose who lifts the trophy. That's the end of your path.
And then: you score round by round.
You don't wait until the end. Each time a phase is decided, you earn the points for your correct picks in that phase, and your Road keeps adding up in the ranking as the tournament goes on.
Hard on purpose
The Road to the Final is a blind commitment. If a team you chose doesn't qualify in real life, that pick is wrong in every phase where you placed it — there are no re-picks or auto-correction. That's why it's worth so much: nailing the whole chain is another level, and it adds up round by round as the tournament advances.
Available per pool. The Road to the Final is turned on by whoever creates the pool when they set it up. If your pool has it active, you'll see the button to build your path. If not, it doesn't apply.
